Church News In September
Vacancy News
The Churchwardens intend to keep everyone as informed as possible throughout the vacancy process, through Church News announcements, by regular articles in Signpost and via email. Please contact them if you have any questions or require any information.
Important Vacancy News
The Churchwardens were invited to meet Archdeacon Charlie Peer on Thursday afternoon to discuss the plans for our Benefice now that we are in vacancy.
We were able to engage in a very positive dialogue with both Charlie and Tim Erridge (Assistant Area Dean). They were both impressed with the work put in so far, by our leadership teams to manage the vacancy.
We were very pleased and reassured to hear from him that we are to get a new Vicar.
The Archdeacon told us that we could now start the lengthy process of finding a new Vicar for our Benefice. He will shortly call a meeting of Winscombe and Sandford and Churchill PCCs to lay out the timetable and processes that we have to follow.
We can reassure you all that we will keep you updated as soon as we have further news.
Harvest Festival
This year we are holding a Benefice Harvest Festival in the Church Centre on Sunday 6th October at 10.00am.
This is an all age service with activities for children.
We will also be collecting donations of non perishable food for the Foodbanks which our churches support or donations of money for the same.
Forthcoming Events
There are lots of great events coming up organised by the teams in each of our churches. Please come along and support these events where a good time should be had by all.
